Unexplained pain near the diaphragm?

This morning at around 4am i woke up to an unusual sharp pain, i sat up for a second and that helped a little, but then i ignored it and went back to sleep, then again i woke up at 8am but now i was more aware of how much it hurt, the pain was a couple of cm above my belly on but a couple of cm below my , near my diaphragm, it was a very sharp pain, i told my mum and she said i probably just pulled a muscle but i knew it was more then that and it felt like someone shot me or stabed me with a knife, i took a panadol and started watching tv, after about 30min my pain wasent any better so mum called the doctors, i went back to watching tv, every now and again i would get a little shot in my heart or lungs but it hurt the whole time, suddenly i felt a very sharp pain that hurt very much and it felt like someone was ripping apart my chest and then stabbing below my lungs right in the middle, i quickly sat up and held my chin to my knees, and then all the pain suddenly stopped like it had never happeded and i felt better then ever, we cancled the doctors apointment and things went well for the rest of the day with no pain, my question is: what do you think caused this and has it ever happeded to you? i wouldent of minded if the pain gradually went away but the fact that it suddenly went away has got me curiouse, please help and please dont give a dumb answer, thxx :D xx
