Can two netgear routers that both have the repeating function on them work together in repeater mode?

i have two different netgear routers that both have the repeating function on them and would like to know if they will work together? the will both be at different ends of the house and i will need to be able to connect to both of them for internet access depending on what end of the house i'm at. so can i connect to them both with wifi in repeating mode and do they have to have the same broadcast name? thanks a bunch for you help
