1980s candy apple lollipop?

When I was a child I use to go down to the coner store in New Jersey and get lollipops. It was red possibly having bubble gum in the middle. It was shaped like a candy apple and tasted like one too. I thought Topps put them out but I could be wrong. I know they still have the caramel version but I'm looking for the regular candy apple. Does anyone know where to find them or remember the name of the lollipop or the company who made them?
